Lorane Beach Club invites you to Ramble, a culinary event offering unexpected flavors with ingredients sourced directly from the Willamette Valley.
Chef Brian Han presents a seasonal menu that draws inspiration from the vibrant flavors of East Asian, Mediterranean, and Pacific Coast cuisines, offering brightly textured and herbaceous umami-rich dishes. Ramble is a celebration of the diverse culinary heritage of diaspora communities and their lasting influence on American cuisine. Each dish is a testament to the power of complementary combinations, where flavors collide and harmonize in ways you never thought possible.
Join us for a culinary adventure, where every dish tells a story of creativity and imagination.
The event typically lasts 4 – 5 hours. When you arrive, please check in with the host at the bar cart. Your name will be on a list; if you purchased the alcoholic beverage pairing, you will receive a wristband. If not, no wristband is needed. The festivities begin with a reception featuring welcome beverages and an assortment of appetizers. Once everyone has arrived and is settled, you’ll hear from your hosts, who will further explain the meal, and take you on a short tour of the property.
Following the reception, dinner service will begin under the shade pavilion. Whether you're flying solo, coming with a friend, or bringing the whole family, there's a seat waiting for you at our communal tables. Over the next two hours, you will be served five courses on family-style platters. For those of you who purchased the beverage pairing, table wine will be available throughout the meal. If you want to elevate your sipping experience, bottles can be purchased at the bar and shared amongst friends.
To finish the evening, guests are encouraged to mingle and dance as a seasonal dessert from our collaborators Not Too Sweet is passed around. As the sun begins to set and the music fades, attendees can get cozy in their tents or hit the road back home.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of fresh delights, camaraderie, and appreciation for the fruits of the land.
Lorane Beach Club is a backdrop for us to be ourselves, be endlessly weird, and learn from the earth and each other.
In dirt we trust.
LBC is a 62 acre property in Lorane, Oregon - an unincorporated rural community two and a half hours south of Portland and forty five minutes southwest of Eugene. It sits atop a hill nestled in the forest and is host to a dome home, sauna, pool, campsites, greenhouse, orchard, and an ever fluctuating number of guests, wanderers, and friends.
The property was in severe disrepair when it was purchased in 2016 by Amy Mae Garrett and Keenan Mitchell. Over the next three and a half years, they tirelessly worked to clean up what was essentially a landfill. In the summer of 2018, they enlisted a childhood friend to help remodel the already existing concrete dome home. As all young, naive first-time property owners do, they put a hard move-in date on the calendar, and planned their upcoming wedding for July 2019. Over the course of the following five years, they’ve continued to work the land, creating what you see today: a lush Oregon hideaway.
